Any home, no matter when it was built, can be energy-efficient. Although modern construction standards demand greater energy efficiency in new homes, older homes can be upgraded to improve their energy performance, and the people living in these homes can be energy-efficient in their habits too.

Energy-efficient tips to implement in your home:

  1. Energy-efficient lighting
  2. Solar panels
  3. High-performance windows
  4. Rainwater recovery systems
  5. High R-value insulation
  6. Air exchange systems (improves air quality)
  7. Air sealing around windows, doors, electrical outlets, and vents

Benefits to you: By implementing green building technologies, all of the efficient features and elements work together to lower energy consumption keeping your costs down, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and shrinking the home’s carbon footprint.

“A house that uses energy efficiently is a happy home.”

Looking to purchase a home with green building technologies? We can help!
