My team and I are so excited to be participating in the Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park in Oakville. Since 1996, this annual family-friendly event is a five-kilometer walk that takes place at 60 different locations throughout Canada.
This is a cause that is near to our hearts at the Sullivan Team as one of our dear colleagues was diagnosed with Crohn’s six years ago. We have witnessed firsthand how disrupting this autoimmune disease is, but it has not put a damper on our colleague’s spirits. Since her diagnosis, she has held charities and participated in these types of fundraising events to help raise awareness of this uncomfortable disease that affects over 250,000 Canadians.
It’s her vivacity and zeal to kick this autoimmune disease in the butt that led my team and I to walk beside her during the Gutsy Walk.
As stated on the Gutsy Walk site, “it takes guts to take on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative coli” and we couldn’t agree more, that is why we are showing our support on Sunday, June 3rd, and we hope that you will too. Register for the Gutsy Walk, or please feel free to donate to our team, simply search The Sullivan Team under donate on the Gutsy Walk website. Money raised from this event will help Crohn’s and Colitis Canada in their efforts to raise awareness, provide support to those affected, advocate to government, fund research, and ultimately, find the cures.
Let’s walk together and support our Gutsy friends, families, and community.
